Gala night announced for Victorian Public Healthcare Awards 2022

September 12, 2022

Winners of this year’s Victorian Public Healthcare Awards will be presented at a gala night to be held at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 13 October as a hybrid in-person and virtual event.

The awards have returned in 2022 following a two-year coronavirus pandemic-induced hiatus.

Jo-Anne Moorfoot, Executive Director, Australian Centre for Healthcare Governance, was chair of this year’s judging panel this year.

‘Despite the unrelenting pressure of patient demand on our health services, and the significant workforce shortages we are experiencing across the sector, our wonderful health providers continue to innovate and excel as they strive to deliver a high-quality service to the people of Victoria,’ Jo-Anne says. ‘I was truly amazed at the standard of entries this year, despite being a judge for over 10 years now. It was particularly hard to choose the best when all entries were so very prize-worthy.

‘After careful consideration, discussion and review, the finalists have been chosen and we now await the celebrations when the winners in all categories will be announced. Well done to all those who work in our health sector and have contributed to keeping us on this path of excellence during the past two years – the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards serves to confirm the outstanding healthcare we have in our state.’

The VHA wishes each of our members that are finalists all the very best on 13 October.
