October 11, 2021
At the VHA AGM last week, Anne-Marie Leslie was announced as a regional health service representative on the VHA Board.
Anne-Marie Leslie is a GAICD and Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute. She serves as Senior Deputy Chair at Colac Area Health Board, having joined in February 2018, and also chairs the Surf Coast Shire CEO Employment Matters Committee.
Anne-Marie’s executive career was in board and people and culture roles for Cochlear, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Kodak. Through her work at Cochlear, she developed an understanding of the challenges facing organisations undertaking digital transformation and integrating new forms of healthcare service delivery.
At Colac Area Health, Anne-Marie has also seen the need for system-wide support to regional executives grappling with these issues, and believes it is essential to build effective leadership and new approaches to workforce development.
Anne-Marie looks forward to contributing her skills and experience to the VHA Board’s achievement of their strategic goals for leadership, sector support and sustainability.
‘I feel very honoured to join the VHA Board and hope to contribute to the great work undertaken by the organisation,’ she said.
‘The VHA would like to acknowledge and thank outgoing director Abbas Khambati for his valuable contribution to the VHA Board over the past four years, on behalf of regional health services,’ VHA Board Chair Sue Matthews said.
At the AGM, the VHA also released its 2020-21 Annual report which can be accessed here https://vha.org.au/news/annual-report-2020-21/
