Health Minister to open the VHA’s annual conference

August 9, 2019

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services, the Hon. Jenny Mikakos MP, will open the 2019 VHA Annual Conference: The future of health an imperative for change on 3 October.

Since being appointed as Minister for Health after the last State Election, Minister Mikakos has introduced pioneering change in Victoria with the voluntary assisted dying legislation coming into effect, ensuring better access to in-vitro-fertilisation options for Victorians as well as launching a $3.8 billion plan to invest in world-class hospitals.

As the Victorian health system is experiencing significant pressures, including unprecedented demand, Minister Mikakos will discuss the Victorian Government’s health priorities and share her views on future directions for the Victorian healthcare system.

The VHA Annual Conference will be held on 3 and 4 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

VHA members receive a complimentary registration to the annual conference upon renewing membership for 2019-20. A code to access the complimentary registration will be supplied to members once they have renewed.
