Navigating COVID Peak - a VHA member forum
The VHA is hosting a member forum to help support the health sector’s response to the expected increase in demand due to COVID-19.
Health and community health service CEOs, executives and Board Directors are invited to attend the ‘Navigating COVID Peak’ forum on 28 October 2021.
The forum will focus on system readiness – how the Victorian public health system can be supported to manage the expected increase in demand stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts.
At the start of the forum, we will be joined by Adam Horsburgh, Interim Deputy Controller, Health Service Operations at the Department of Health. Adam will provide a brief presentation before opening the floor for questions.
Following this, the VHA will host a ‘closed doors’ discussion with participants to seek member experiences and ideas, and feedback on solutions.
Ahead of the forum, the VHA has reviewed how other countries have attempted to prepare their health sectors for increased demand, as well as the outcomes. This has identified interesting case studies, with relevant aspects of the response that could inform Victoria’s next steps.
