VHA presents at NDIS joint standing committee

VHA CEO, Tom Symondson spoke last week before a Commonwealth public hearing, on the market readiness for the provision of services under the NDIS in Melbourne.

Included in the terms of reference for which the committee looked into were:

  • the transition to a market based system for service providers 

  • participant readiness to navigate new markets

  • the development of the disability workforce to support the emerging market

  • the impact of pricing on the development of the market.

Occupational Therapy Australia, Speech Pathology Australia, the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and Allied Health Professions Australia also presented to the committee

The committee is due to report by 23 August.
