VAGO and VHA discuss hospital performance

Posted 26 March 2015

Representatives of the Victorian Auditor General's Office (VAGO) yesterday met with the VHA to discuss a hospital performance audit which VAGO plans to undertake in 2015-16.

VAGO sought engagement with the VHA to identify areas of hospital performance that might be examined in the audit. VAGO and the VHA agreed on the need for meaningful performance measures, and transparent data that allows health services to accurately benchmark.

The VHA looks forward to ongoing engagement with VAGO on future health sector audits.
