Workforce health's biggest challenge: VHA

Managing the workforce to meet the changing health environment is the sector’s most important challenge, the VHA’s CEO Tom Symondson said today.

“Workforce is a massive part of what our members do, so it has become a massive part of what we do,” said Mr Symondson. 

Sharon Lowry, healthcare practice lead at Kronos, the VHA’s Workforce Strategy partner, spoke of the importance of values-based care. “Workforce is a healthcare employer’s greatest asset, but strategic workforce management is hard,” she said.
