The Kilmore & District Hospital claims governance prize

The Australian Centre for Healthcare Governance Executive Director Jo-Anne Moorfoot facilitated a Leadership in Clinical Governance Workshop for The Kilmore and District Hospital last week.

The Kilmore and District Hospital earned the session after winning the Innovation in Clinical Governance Award at the 2017 VHA  Annual Awards.

The ACHG tailored the session to meet the organisational needs of The Kilmore and District Hospital, providing the opportunity for the Board of Management, executive, senior clinical leaders and Visiting Medical Officer’s to consider the domains of clinical governance and apply these to scenario based learning activities.  

"There was a balance between information giving and interactive exercises reinforcing the importance of leadership and culture in the effective delivery of sound clinical governance," The Kilmore and District Hospital CEO Sue Race said.

"This provided affirmation that we were on the right track but importantly provided practical strategies and examples of how we can continue to refine our approach and improve on our current systems and processes."
