Standard seven: Aged Care Quality Standards

Aged care quality standard seven: human resources, focuses on  considering the skills, capabilities, qualifications and knowledge of staff. This can include:

  • workforce development planning
  • having the right skill mix and numbers for the needs of residents
  • educating staff on workforce behaviour and responsibilities

The VHA has developed a set of resources to support public sector providers of aged care in their transition to the new standards.
