ONE WEEK TO GO: 2018 VHA Annual Conference
Posted 09 August 2018
There’s one week to go until leaders from Victoria’s healthcare sector will come together to rethink, reset and reimagine a stronger Victorian healthcare system, at the VHA Annual Conference, on 16 and 17 August at the MCG.
‘The VHA is looking forward to bringing politicians, thought leaders, disruptors and experts to share their knowledge, positions and experience with the sector,’ Tom Symondson, VHA Chief Executive Officer said today.
‘In this final week to register, I encourage members to take advantage of their complimentary ticket and the two-for-one offer and bring their colleagues along to the conference.’
Speaking at the conference is Cressida Wall, Board Director with the Office of Projects Victoria. She will share her views on the politicised nature of infrastructure projects and the opportunities for Victoria’s health system, to help shape decisions in rethinking approaches to government funding of health infrastructure.
A foremost leader on digital health, Dr Richard Ashby, Chief Executive Officer of eHealth Queensland will provide insights into how Queensland is transforming its digital health operations, and share lessons for how others can reimagine its own digital health transformation.
Program highlights include:
- a special lunchtime briefing for CEOs and Board Directors on voluntary assisted dying and what this landmark legislation means for Victoria’s health services
- a digital health breakfast, unlocking the opportunities brought on by digital health and how it can be effectively implemented
- insightful and inspiring presentations from keynote speakers Sara James, Emmy award winning foreign correspondent and author and Clare Keenan former policy and communications advisor to Ministers and CEOs and a survivor of a brutal attack.
The conference program includes an event on the first evening, providing delegates with the opportunity to share ideas and network.
VHA voting members receive a complimentary conference ticket by using the code RETHINK18 at registration. They can also access a two for one offer for additional registrants when purchasing a ticket.
