EOI: Consultative group for Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety

Posted 29 November 2018

In response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety that was announced on 8 October, the VHA will establish a consultative group of interested members.

The consultative group will span the health spectrum from primary care through to community-based and residential aged care, and will inform the development of key recommendations and the VHA’s submissions to the Royal Commission. The consultative group will also support the VHA’s engagement across the sector and with key stakeholders as the Royal Commission progresses.

The VHA is seeking a representative mix from member organisations in metropolitan, regional and rural areas. The VHA is also seeking members from various service types including community health services, small rural health services, hospitals, and multi-purpose services, and a range of professional expertise, such as finance, primary and acute care, emergency care, social workers and discharge planners, aged persons mental health, and those with experience in delivering care to younger people in nursing homes.

To participate or for further information, contact Ali Georgalas, Advisor Policy and Advocacy, by email or call 9094 7715 by Friday 7 December.
