Education: Supporting successful communication

The VHA, together with Dementia Australia is offering a special member-only 10 per cent discount on award-winning dementia education and training, geared towards staff providing support to people living with dementia and their carers.

Supporting Successful Communication is just one of the courses being offered and explores the difficulties that people living with Dementia can experience in communication and the impact this has as the condition progresses.

Participants will learn to identify barriers to communication and develop strategies to support successful communication for people living with Dementia and those in the support relationship.
