VHA & ACHG to deliver CEO Leadership Series

Posted 23 May 2018

The Victorian Healthcare Association and the Australian Centre for Healthcare Governance have partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services to deliver a leadership series to chief executives of public hospitals, VHA CEO Tom Symondson announced today.

The ACHG will facilitate the CEO leadership series engaging respected and experienced leaders and subject matter experts from within and outside of the health sector to conduct a program of seminars. The informative and interactive sessions will focus on a number of key leadership topics tailored to hospital CEO’s.

“The series will provide hospital CEO’s with the opportunity to hear a range of high profile leaders present on their own leadership journey, the challenges and the triumphs, and will also include sessions from experts on particular aspects of leadership providing insight into contemporary leadership skills”, Mr Symondson said.

The leadership series is open exclusively to public hospital CEOs and commences on 20 June with Chair of Alfred Hospital Michael Gorton AM as the keynote speaker.

In addition to the formal presentation program, the leadership series will include a number of interactive communities of practice sessions with a panel discussion and an active learning approach to problem solving.
