Stand with Community Health: get involved

Posted 23 August 2018

The Stand with Community Health campaign has been launched by the VHA, together with the 29 community health services, to shine a light on community health services in Victoria in the lead up to the State Election in November. The public, community health services and politicians are being called on to Stand with Community Health to show their support for the campaign and get involved.

‘We want to ensure that as a state, we leverage this platform to prevent people going to emergency departments and reduce outpatient waitlists, supporting community health to play a stronger role in an overburdened healthcare system,’ said Tom Symondson, VHA Chief Executive.

Community health services, community members and MPs can show their support for the campaign by:

  • making the Stand with Community Health pledge
  • reach out to your MPs and make them aware of the campaign ‘asks’
  • take  part in the social media conversation
  • coordinate your own campaign activities to show that you Stand with Community Health.
